The “other” positions

If you have a kicker with a starting job, don’t worry about kicker. 1-32, they are basically the same.

DST can be a different story. I would say there is really three types of DST. The first type you plug into your lineup and leave there except on a bye week. I would say the top ten fit here. The next ten are useful, but will make you nervous. As I abhor the idea of filling a bench spot with a defense, this usually means they will have to be in the lineup, but are scary. Some weeks you might drop an extra TE for a defense if your main one is playing an elite offense. The final 12 defenses are bad no matter who they play. These are defensive units I wouldn’t want, regardless of the matchup.

These are my personal groups. If you disagree, feel free to move some teams around.

Group 1-

Steelers, Jets, Ravens, Packers, Vikings, Eagles, Bengals, Patriots, 49ers, Dolphins

Group 2-

Saints, Titans, Chargers, Giants, Redskins, Cowboys, Chiefs, Texans, Falcons, Bears

Group 3 is everyone else.
