Fantasy X-Man

Who to sit? I can play three from Ronnie Brown, Arian Foster, Mike Williams, Beanie Wells, and Correll Buckhalter. Thanks

-Brian, CT

Brian, I’d play Foster, Brown, and Williams. I expect Maroney will get more touches than Buckhalter. And the Cardinals are saying Wells will play but is not in “football shape” yet. So I wouldn’t expect him to be featured. Thanks for the question.

  1. Jim says:

    WR2:Kevin Walter or Austin Collie?
    RB/WR:Addai or Portis?
    Def:49ers or Redskins?

  2. Thomas says:

I’m in a PPR league and need help at the flex spot.

    Greene @ Mia
    M Clayton vs. Was
    Nicks vs. Ten

  3. Dude says:

    Rodgers for Gore?
I also have Brees (didn’t know what I was doing during the draft) and mathews and moreno, and in desperate need a RB.

    QB Drew Brees
    RB Ryan Mathews
    RB LaDainian Tomlinson
    RB/WR Kevin Walter
    WR Roddy White
    WR Steve Smith
    TE Dustin Keller
    D/ST Ravens D/ST
    K Matt Prater

    Bench Aaron Rodgers
    Bench Knowshon Moreno
    Bench Brent Celek
    Bench Stephen Gostkowski
    Bench Clinton Portis
    Bench Marion Barber
    Bench Donovan McNabb

It’s a 7 man league, and I could pick up tolbert.

    QB Kyle Orton
    RB Frank Gore
    RB Jahvid Best
    RB/WR Ahmad Bradshaw
    WR Brandon Marshall
    WR Dez Bryant
    TE Jermichael Finley
    D/ST Redskins D/ST
    K Jay Feely

    Bench Maurice Jones-Drew
    Bench Shonn Greene
    Bench Anquan Boldin
    Bench Steve Smith
    Bench Joe Flacco
    Bench Brandon Jackson
    Bench Demaryius Thomas

I offered Brees for Gore, he said he’d consider Gore for Rodgers, do I do it? I need help at RB

    • I would definitely add Tolbert. Trade Brees, not Rodgers, and I would try to Adrian Peterson. If that guy has a solid QB then try for Chris Johnson, MJD, or Ray Rice. If you get rejected on all those guys, then Gore is ok.

      • Cam says:

        My team
        Schaub, Vick
        S Jackson, Bradshaw, Ricky Williams
        Welker, Santonio, Clayton, Breaston, Housh
        Carleson, Boss
        Bengals, Chargers

        His team
        Batch (had Kolb)
        Forte, a nobody
D Jackson, Crabtree, Shipley, a nobody

I’m looking to trade Vick, but what should I go for? I was thinking Vick and Ricky for Forte, but I don’t think he’ll go for that, even though it’s 6pt td pass league. I have also considered Vick, Bradshaw, and Carleson for Forte, Crabtree, and Schianco. I think I lose in this deal, b/c I don’t trust Forte honestly. Is he really the next Faulk in Martz’s system? What do you think I should do?

      • I wouldnt do Vick and Williams for Forte, but with Schaub, trading Vick, Bradshaw and Carleson for Forte Crabtree and Shiancoe is a solid deal for you. You upgrade at TE and WR, and Vick is just sitting on your bench.

  4. Ryan says:

Who should i start? Mark Clayton, Percy Harvin, or jacoby jones? Also i have vernon davis at TE and was offered Darren Mcfadden for him, should i take that trade?

    • I would start Jones from that group. Definitely not Clayton. And I wouldn’t trade for McFadden until we see what the touches split will be like with Bush available. I certainly wouldn’t trade Davis for McFadden unless I was very desperate for RB.

      • Ryan says:

well at RB i have Brandon Jackson pierre Thomas and beanie wells…so i’m pretty weak

      • I would start Thomas and Wells and wait to see what McFadden does this week. If he is good again, and you have a decent TE to fill the spot, then I could understand it. But if Wells plays well, you dont need it.

  5. Souds a lil crazy but hear me out… I already have welker and maclin pretty muched locked in as 2/3 of my WR’s for this week, I’m in a very high stakes money league and sometimes it pays to gamble. I have the option of starting Jennings, Knox, or Mason. My logic in thinking to start knox over jennings is the Bears have yet to give up a touchdown to a WR in two games against 2 pretty good throwing teams and WR’s and with Aramashadu struggling with targets and hester just beig hester I feel like knox should have a great day in a high scoring game. Mason is kind of an afterthought but against the browns makes his match up enticing… what do you tihnk? play is safe and go with my usual number 1 WR or get ballsy and trust my gut with knox? thanks

That post should answer your question. Jennings is a top 10 WR. I wouldn’t bench him. I might start Knox over Maclin though.

      • thanks, i understand what you mean, good advice, ill be sure to continue to use your site.

also, I just recently traded ahmad bradshaw for welker, looking at bradshaw, his schedule is brutal the second half of the season so i sold him while i could, which led my RB core kinda weak, its an 18 man league so teams are weak to start with but should i trade one of my recievers for a decent running back like hightower just to be on the safe side?
my current RB’s are Forte, McFadden, and Jonathan Stewart
my WR’s are Maclin, Welker, Jennings, Mason, Knox
or do you think I should just wait it out and see if jonathan stewart can get it going again because i think hes still lingering over the heel injury and carolina is a mess

      • I think Stewart will pick it up. And WHEN Deangelo gets banged up, Stewart should catch up. In an 18-team league, your lineup seems solid. I’d wait on any more deals for now.

  6. MG says:

I have 2 great tight ends, Keller & Clark. I holding one of them for trade bait. In the meantime, who should I start this week?

  7. MG says:

In my league, the flex can be a QB, WR, TE, RB. Choosing between Ryan Fitz, Larry Fitz, Keller, Hakeem Nicks, who do I start?

    • If it’s standard scoring I would go with Ryan easily. QBs score the most points. My league uses OP instead of RB/WR as well and the best teams are the ones with at least one OP being a QB.
