Week 11 review

Posted: November 23, 2010 in Fantasy Football

Four quarterbacks threw for 300+ yards AND four touchdowns but Aaron Rodgers was the only one who didn’t have any interceptions to go with it. We saw Vince Young throw his last pass of the season, hurting his thumb and then his pride by throwing a tantrum. Rusty Smith is now the starting QB for the Titans. Yummy. Philip Rivers threw for four touchdowns for the second game in a row. He has at least one touchdown in every game, and multiple touchdowns in eight of ten. Meanwhile, Brett Favre and Jay Cutler combined for zero scores and two interceptions.

Maurice Jones-Drew reached 220 combined yards and a touchdown, finally producing like the top pick he was at the beginning of the season. Ray Rice is also rewarding his drafters, this week grabbing 131 yards and a touchdown. As predicted, Shonn Greene grabbed more carries than Ladanian Tomlinson. Mike Tolbert impressed with 111 yards and a touchdown in relief of injured Ryan Mathews. Peyton Hillis showed another side of his game, with six receptions for 95 yards.

Greg Jennings was the big winner of wide receivers. He grabbed seven catches for 152 yards and three touchdowns. Steve Johnson was also studly with 137 yards and three touchdowns. Dwayne Bowe grabbed two more touchdowns bringing his total for the season to 11. Thursday night, Brandon Marshall went down with a hamstring injury. Right now, it looks like he will try to play week 12, but the people who drafted him in the early rounds must be quite disappointed. Sidney Rice caught three balls for 56 yards in his first game back from a hip injury.

Joel Dressen had four catches for 106 yards and a touchdown filling in for Owen Daniels. Chris Cooley was solid with 91 yards, but didn’t find the end zone.
