Walking the Walk, half of week 1

Posted: April 4, 2011 in Fantasy Baseball

As the first week of fantasy is actually one and a half, this is just an early update. Over the first three games, Carlos Quentin started hot with six hits of eleven at bats and seven RBI, for a total of 22.5 points.

Adam Lind and Travis Hafner had four and five hits respectively for 13 points each.

Roy Halladay and Tim Lincecum were both excellent but were robbed of some points by not getting run support, but they scored 20.5 and 19 points respectively.

Tragically, I owned and started Jake Westbrook and Francisco Liriano. Remember, its an 18-team league. Westbrook tallied an impressive -15, and Liriano followed that with -4. Those will be very hard to make up.

Luckily, my opponent had Jon Lester but even that’s just -0.5.

I’m down 178.5-159, but there is an entire week left. I still have Lincecum, Liriano and Halladay for another start and I might get one or two pitchers added who have good matchups.

There is hope.
